Must have changed very recently....I didn't have those in July.
Did you say it was none of their business? While those security agents do not work for AA, they do work
on behalf of AA, and if the questioning were too invasive, I would have asked to speak to an AA supervisor.
Those questions are quite appropriate for an immigration or customs officer to ask when you are attempting to enter a foreign country. But, IMHO, they are not appropriate for a private security company to ask on behalf of an airline (except at TLV, obviously).
