AA's (and any airline's for what matters) technology is not set up to do so. You can cross-reference multiple itineraries, but that's not the same thing, and you certainly can't issue tickets that span multiple itineraries. So it's a non-option.

Best option, as long as you call WEB services to change the class of service/reprice. You can also book the itinerary in Y and do the opposite--what's most important for you (secured F seats vs. secured lowest fare) dictates whether you should start with blocking F or Y space.
