The questioning always takes seconds (in LHR, LIM, FRA, MAD, wherever). Never been asked anything unusual (only the usual whether my bag has been with me all the time and what electronic equipment I have). Never asked about salary, workplace, significant other
, etc.
I had a very interesting exchange with one of the screeners during my last trip from LHR. I handed my passport to her and she kept on flipping the passport pages for about 5 minutes. Finally I asked what she was looking for, her answer "US Visa" The thing which makes it interesting is that it was a US passport
