Better on-board treatment (EY Gold)
Noticed a huge change in treatment on my RUH-AUH flight yesterday:
1) At check in I was proactively offered an emergency exit seat. This has never happened before - usually I have to ask, only to be told that the seats have already been assigned (mostly to non-golds who happened to check in earlier than me)
2) On board I was:
a) offered food in advance before the trolley arrived
b) offered a Fast Track exit card twice from two different stewardesses
c) offered hot drinks and a check in case I needed anything else
Apart from 2b, which has happened maybe four times in my last 50 flights, the rest is new.
Was this a great crew, or a change in policy? Anyone else noticed similar improvements recently?
