I won't agree or disagree as I haven't stayed here in some time to experience the front desk business behavior that you have.
Though I find that statement very hard to believe across the board or that it applies to all working there.Quite a number of guests still rave about select team members.
Over the years I have met a number of wonderful folks here and they were outstanding in every way with exceptional professionalism and of a warm hospitable nature.
And some of these folks still remain.
The hotels ratings have slipped in the past 12 months. Its a modest amount mind you and if I was in the hotels shoes I'd certainly be addressing those concerns.
Hyatt Place as a vastly superior experience? I couldn't personally agree with you but hopefully you are content with your choices
I can say that Red Marlin still has incredible team members that continue to do everything possible to make for happy guests. The menu declined in variety this summer and while adequate is lack luster compared to the years past.Sadly and I visit less frequently.
As for the hotel remodel that was done some years ago and while I wouldn't call it a high end remodel its no different then you would find in a number of 4 star hotels if we are referring to the tower. The lower motel like buildings are in dire need of a refurb
I have noticed some wear and tear certainly in select tower rooms as well in the past
Cheers
