I always ask. Sometimes I'll just ask about the weather "there". A couple of weeks ago I had an exceptional agent and when I said "You must be in Chisolm!" she thought I was referring to her Minnesotan accent. (I was referring to the tremendous, friendly service we PMNW elites had come to appreciate from the Iron Range.) We both had a good laugh as being from Wisconsin I couldn't even tell she had an accent.
