<sigh>. I think you need to consult with a lawyer. No matter what UA asks you for - if your mother has other beneficiaries under her will/estate plans - you can't just use your fiduciary capacity to take stuff away from your mother's estate and give it to yourself - unless perhaps you are the only possible beneficiary. Also note that although there may be a document that appoints you as an executor/personal representative of X - like a will - you are not the executor/personal representative until a court has appointed you as such after X has died. A person who is alive can't have an executor/personal representative.
FWIW - I find this a very distasteful conversation. Your mother is dying in hospice and here you are worrying about how you're going to get all her stuff for yourself - including her FF miles. My husband and I have lost 3 out of 4 parents - and I can tell you that the last thing we ever worried about when they were dying was stuff like this. Robyn
