Yes, Mission Bay has always charged for parking. At least the past 3 years.
To each their own but if our good fellow poster was unhappy with his room at Mission Bay I hate to see his reaction to the Manchester Grand
which hasn't had a renovation in 20 years other than the new tower which was bland the day it opened with no Regency Club.
The hotel does have inspiring views to its credit and since Manchester left the fold I have noticed a greater effort to please elites
The hotel started a renovation in May of this year but it is still ongoing and I am unawre of the finsihed improvements if any.
The public areas are very nice and they have always run a first class executive lounge though small

Yes the Mission Bay has always charged for parking but not as much as they charge today.I agree its excessive for the area
I have in the past found parking elsewhere nearby the hotel right on the street.Of course I always observe the parking signs and when its busy enough pay the ransom
