This was a suite I specifically booked as I needed a larger room for a business meeting.

However, in the 10 or so times I have previously stayed here as a plat this year, I have had a crappy standard room and been told this was the best available room and I should be happy with my sea view. All this despite William intervening after my first underwhelming stay, and an email from Danny the manager promising me an upgrade the next time I visited. (Didn't happen). I live in Dubai so often book this place for a weekend so the kids can enjoy the pool and the sea, and will be back again, as my love of SPG outweighs my disdain for this cynical property, so I won't let them drive me to Hilton.
