Not so sure about the mis connection issue. there is two a day I think between SIN and PER so heaven knows how they would route me if missed connection. Yes have tried Cathay. Interestingly the pricing structure a bit more sensible there. Longer rote via HKG. The HKG-PER sector ridiculously priced yet BA between LHR-HKG quite a good price! lol.
