What is the lounge like in T1 compared to the T5 lounges? Does BA plan to upgrade it at all or is it adequate as it is?

The Great British Lounge is certainly up there with Galleries Club in T3 and T5. Probably not quite as good as Flounge, but the food options are good there, particularly at breakfast. The key difference with the nearby London Room is a limited but reasonable range of hot food.
It is not open to Domestic or Irish travellers, though there is an ongoing review of this, apparently. The London Room is allocated for this.
