I took the same SIN-IST flight in business a few months ago, and found the experience mediocre at best. DO&CO catering is fine, but beyond that the airline has a rep it really doesn't deserve.

I mean, really, most people travel in Y and TK comes out on top for the three variables that matter most to Y pax - IFE, catering and seat comfort.
The crew aren't the most polished and customer service on the ground - between the airport authority and the airline - borders on abysmal.
But overall, as a mostly Y/Y+ traveller, I would choose them over the usual AC/LH, UA etc dross. Can't speak for J because I haven't used it, but then again, I'm far too spoiled by 9Ws excellent J product.
