Am flying next Tuesday (4 Sep), so was doing the usual check on seat availability/loads etc to fill a few minutes at work. I haven't really seen the flights from IAD get very busy away from Christmas, but that day WT is pretty much sold out on the three daily flights (BA292, for example, is F2 J9 W2 Y0). The days around it seem to be pretty similar, but the other East Coast gateways are fairly quiet.

Has IAD suddenly become a popular gateway to London, or is there a reason that everyone from Washington wants to be in London that week?
The wheels of UK-US government relations spring back to life after the English+Welsh+NI August bank holiday and after Labor Day.
