Apologies in advance for the inane/esoteric question, but I just wondered if anyone could hazard a guess as to why IAD has suddenly become so busy for BA. Am flying next Tuesday (4 Sep), so was doing the usual check on seat availability/loads etc to fill a few minutes at work. I haven't really seen the flights from IAD get very busy away from Christmas, but that day WT is pretty much sold out on the three daily flights (BA292, for example, is F2 J9 W2 Y0). The days around it seem to be pretty similar, but the other East Coast gateways are fairly quiet.

Has IAD suddenly become a popular gateway to London, or is there a reason that everyone from Washington wants to be in London that week?
