Still did in on my last flight to SYD a couple of weeks ago. Dont see any problem with this.

If I was a politician of a hot and steamy country, I would also impose this. Now they may be smarter ways to implement this but I'm pretty sure they don't impose this on passengers just by saddistic pleasure
