I was wondering exactly the same thing re Krisflyer and saw this thread. Yikes. It seems that Thai is a better bet then, if you are going to fly any Star Alliance airlines? I used to have status on Air New Zealand when I lived in NZ, but that has mostly expired and besides their programme sucks worse than Krisflyer I think. Any views on Thai? I live in Hong Kong and wondered if I could status match my Marco Polo Diamond ... how does one go about it, anyway?
