In Bangkok now, *A Gold passengers not flying in Thai's Premium seats are not permitted to use the larger main Royal Silk Lounge. They have to use the smaller lounges on pier C and D. These lounges are significantly smaller but offer the same facilities as the larger lounge.
The smaller lounges are on pier C and E (not D). In fact the largest lounge is on pier D. Although, it is stated that *A G can only use pier C and E lounges but they did make exception. I have been in D pier lounge few times using my A3.
Also pier D lounge although it is the largest but it does not have shower facilities. Only C and E do have shower.
