Great report! Just as you mentioned that the higher prices for food are to be expected at resorts, massages also cost more at hotels/resorts throughout SE Asia than outside. This price doesn't seem to be so different than other hotels though much more expensive than the massage you can get down the beach or in town. Of course the facilities are also very much nicer in the hotel.
