I watch this flight every day and there are a lot of problems (a lot more than one might normally expect), but that communications issue is a new one for me.
I'd love to hear an explanation of what kind of communication equipment problem would only affect South American communications!
It does seem that United in general has had more equipment issues lately than one might normally expect.
Makes it a bit hard to plan business trips. My friend will now arrive around 11:30pm Sunday for an 8:30am Monday meeting; so much for trying to catch a breath. It helps that she's in F though.
