I have had this warning because of time changes that were important to take notice of or because they changed the flight numbers and nothing else.

Bottom line is, sometimes you do have to call and accept the changes. Others they are just automatic notices. What are you being asked to do? Does your itinerary online look identical? I would call United as Goalie says.
