I had the same thing happen with two people Friday on my DTW/LAS flight. I didnt get upgraded at the window but got the email Tuesday morning. These two guys were complaining to people in the gate area about how often they flew Delta and they couldnt believe they werent upgraded yet. Figured since I was a PM on a T fare they were diamonds on a last minute purchase after V inventory opened up. They did get called up to the podium when the GA cleared the list and they boarded before me and when the GA scanned the one persons BP he thanked him for being a silver and thanked the other for being gold

I sat beside the gold and he wanted me to trade places with his friend. They both had windows and I wasnt giving up an aisle for a window on that long of a flight. They couldnt sit together.
I told him when my upgrade cleared I was in 6b and the only two seats available to change to that were aisle were 4c (where I sat) and 1b. He starts in with another tantrum of how unfair it is a single traveller got to move around before they cleared everyone and Delta should hold seats together for their high volume customers so they didnt have to sit apart

You should have slapped him upside the head with your PM card.
