The observation is linked to this... The same people who (sometimes) whine over the most trivial stuff defend BA in the most peculiar of cases. Like flying in F with a disco lighting should somehow be acceptable and you should simply wear a sleeping mask... There are many more examples.

Having said all that, I still think a less than 2 hour delay on a TATL for weather reasons isn't particularly shocking nor should it give rise to compensation claims and the OP should move on (*)
I agree. However if the delay has a cascade effect and the OP would be stuck in LHR for longer I don't think it is too bad to ask... Which he did nicely...
