For late bookings that I really care about regarding UGs etc. I will call the hotel to advise of the late booking... this way I'm sure they "see" it so it doesn't get overlooked when assigning rooms, etc.

I have never had a problem with this hotel before the UG seems to happen as Platinum- even a one class UG.
I thought it strange on friday after I made the book but thought the hotel might be just busy or very booked out.
I certainly will not presume in future!
