The SQ BP should be enough as you are in International J (but UA said no to me!) *A Gold will work however - even UA lounge staff agreed. It's just security in the other terminal that you might need to chat to. They were fine with me - I just explained why I was briefly going to a different terminal from my departing flight.

UA lounge staff said no, despite this on the *A access rules:
International Business Class Customers:Customers have access to any Star Alliance member carriers' owned Business Class lounges.

Customer must present a boarding pass for travel in International Business Class on a Star Alliance flight
Customer must be departing from the local airport in International Business Class
Customers must be a revenue customer
Customer is not entitled to any guests
I was guested in by a passenger who overheard the refusal and disagreed with the lounge staff.
