Is there a way that I can book the room with points from the family member's account + the cash payment AND have the stay qualify me for HHonors Gold status through the promotion? Since I am paying some cash for the stay, does that count?
While I don't know anything about this specific US Airways promotion, all promotions I've ever seen that give you Gold for a certain number of stays require them to
paid stays.
And no,
cash and points stays are classified as award stays, not paid stays, even though your "paying some cash for the stay".
