If you are flying to Rotorua on Air New Zealand (Link flights), then you can use the domestic Koru Club at the domestic terminal based on your Star Gold status. The Koru Club in AKL is quite nice, somewhat comparable to a domestic MLL and maybe better food choices. It's great to be at the lounge during supper time, they basically serve your soup, a variety of salads and some hot dishes. During the morning, they serve some simple breakfast items. Mind you, it can be quite crowded. Staff at the Koru Club are very nice and address you by name. However, minimize contact with the rest of staff at NZ domestic terminal other than the Koru Club, some of them could be down right rude for some unknown reasons. Don't take chances. Beware, the Koru Club is situated on the opposite side of the NZ Link flights in the terminal, not a long walk but not short either, so pace yourself and don't get lost.

QF doesn't have an arrival lounge in SYD, unless you connect domestically on QF, you won't be able to use any lounge facility. However, I was told by a QF ground crew that if I wish, I could use the departure lounge before I clear the customs - of course by that time, it was too late ~ they should have mentionned it earlier but I have no idea how reliable that information is b/c as far as I know, QF officially doesn't have an arrival lounge facility and when I got into NYC on QF First and asked BA if I can use their arrival facility, was told no, only on departure so I don't think it's reciprocal at all.
