No. If you aren't entitled to preassign a seat (either by cash, fare class, corporate deal or status) then you have no seat allocation.

BA F seat maps are normally a good indicator of availablity, especially when read with the GDS loads. Other cabin maps are not good as many/some pax don't have an assignment (see above) but have a valid reservation.
