Yep. There's a European chain where I refuse to stay that makes a practice of denying all early check ins and then shortly after 3:00 pm, all of their rooms magically become clean and available simultanteously. Even if they have empty rooms from the night before, they refuse to give them to guests even at 2:30 pm as a matter of policy; in response, as a matter of policy I refuse to ever stay in their hotels willingly.
