Given that the OP specifically asked if they had discontinued it, I would say it is material. If they have discontinued it, it would be due to the reasons listed in the many snarky posts here.

I have had numerous occasions in the past year where companies, or government (local) agencies wanted me to fax them things, and I had to go through a long process to figure out if I could just email them documents. Faxes are definitely on their way out, but they are not completely dead yet.
