The only workaround is to first convert over to ESSO, then back to Sobeys then to AEROPLAN, which you will loose a tons of value -> that 0.125 AEROPLAN per $1 spend, not worth it. You can consider the ESSO VISA card from RBC where you get 0.25 AEROPLAN per $1 spend:
