For my sector of SYD-DXB-BHX, when we left SYD online it was still a 2 class 300ER with lie flats for the BHX leg, when we got on it in Dubai some hours later, it was old skool deeply reclining (or declining - delete where appropriate) so they do change it at the last minute.
