Not really, JMO. Plane age and seat comfort are not mutually exclusive, particularly as the original delivery 738s are having their interiors refurbished to match the seats coming with the newer models.
It just so happens that another "perk" for ORD based flyer was to originally assign the new models at ORD a few years ago, only to reverse course and base the ratty, beat up ones here, with the occasional new model.
