Todays TG920 is the "standard" F-cabin with 10 seats which is a comfy cabin.
You will find the brand-new 744-cabin with 9 mini suites only so far only irregularly once a month or so.
I fully agree: the "old" standard F-cabin on the B744 is much cozier than the new mini suites which will be seen on A380 and on next 747-retrofit (or in TG-terms: "new 744").
An airbus spokesman recently said: (as per LH) European f-customers prefer to "see and be seen" in F-cabin while Asians prefer more privacy (suites).
Thus QF and SQ might have opted for more privacy, while TG with its hig share of European customers has opted for a "mix" (not too private suites).
We shall see how this compromise will work out......
