The fare difference between Buquebus and Seacat on Sunday Sept. 2 is about USD$40 roundtrip.
Everyone is welcome to choose as they wish, of course, but it will probably be more fun and comfortable, especially for those with no Spanish or experience here, to stay together on Buquebus, and not have any stress.
My 2 centavos, anyway...
Thanks ULDB65! you are correct.. The $95 Web Fare is sold out on September 2nd, 280 ARS is the R/T Fare ( available at the moment ) Bummer that you missed the Web Fare. I have taken SeaCat a few times and ended up on the Buquebus for one of the legs. Its fast and fun, but nothing special. The nicest part is the actual terminal in Madero. Modern and they have Lounge Privledge on certain Fares ( for Buquebus only.. SeaCat is like Regional Air , you buy your coffee and medialuna in the terminal.

The Bus part is a cool 2 hour ride to Monteviedo as part of your ticket for a few $$ more R/T..
Enjoy your journey.
At least when others in the future read this, they will know there is another option than Buquebus for future travel. Safe Travels and get outside of your Agenda. Its a wonderful city. I like the local flavor ( lots to see and do ) If you want a free city tour this is a fun group run by a brother and sister. Tips only:
