I got my message today. Apparently it tried to process the upgrade and sent me an email at the plat window letting me know I was sitting in F!
Only problem was I was on a paid F ticket.
Seems like a waste to try to process upgrades when you're already in F.
This is interesting, So far this year, I have bought only Refunded FC tickets, and not once have I had this issue.
