I respectfully disagree from the vantage point of always opting for 8B, I can state that there is a fair amount of additional legroom. Also, if there weren't, the 30 or 31 inch pitch found on the CRJ's would not meet FAA standards for exit room clearance.

I don't mean to start a debate, since no one can provide a definitive response either way, except for the carrier and/or the FAA.

However, I will admit that the seat padding, or lack of it can make for an uncomfortable trip.
