Has anyone tried the Gevey unlocking thing first-hand? The latest version doesn't require calling 112 and sounds like a dream come true, but their site isn't very consumer-friendly. (It makes it sound like you have to "jailbreak" your phone, which is something I specifically do not want to do since it would void my warranty, ability to upgrade, etc. Gevey assured me on the phone today that I don't need to do any kind of jailbreak to use their product, however.)

I'm traveling to Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam, and my working plan is to take my iPhone 4S, buy one of these Gevey things, and then just buy a new data-only SIM (typically very cheap!!) in each of those countries.

I'm told by Gevey that I need to "reset" the Gevey device (using a special "reset SIM" they give you with it) between each SIM, and I'm also told that when I get back home, I can pop my original AT&T SIM back into the phone and it's as if I never did anything.

Can anyone confirm that this Gevey thing works? It's clearly a hack but a pretty brilliant one if it will work as I've outlined above.
