It depends when you want to travel.

JAL does release F inventory, but it usually becomes available 2-3 weeks prior to travel. Sometimes earlier.

These days, however, there is only F service from LAX, ORD, and JFK since SFO is C service to HND, and BOS/SAN (when SAN starts) is the 787 (2-cabin).

I'm also doubtful JL flies a 3-cabin plane NRT-CGK.
