I do not want to bother Nicci, in fact I don't want to bother anyone but....
morning All!
I should probably know what to do but I feel unsure of where to turn to. Our family are AAadvantage FF members (bear with me please) with well over 1/2 M. However, all are TATL Longhaul flights, usually in CW, are booked directly with BA. The reason for this is that AA are basically hopeless in offering itineraries which are practical for our travel needs ~ plus they are more expensive.
Every year we fly at least once, NAS-LHR-NCE r/t on BA which has the best (not to mention in-flight service) and most convinient route/times. The night flight out of Nassau allows us to arrive at LHR refreshed after a good nights's sleep and we have a leisurely breakfast or lunch in one of the lounges before continuing on to NCE.
Not so with AA ~ they would have us fly first to MIA, change us to Iberia and take us through MAD and then e-v-e-n-t-u-a-l-l-y on to NICE. It would involve hours and hours of bleary eyed unnecessary travel time. Although Partners, AA didn't allow me to book on BA metal ~ I have no idea why! So, our bookings go to BA. For the most part, they do credit the miles to AA.
On our last trip, Mr. Soames (Gold) was credited 10.000+. I lost status earlier this year and was credited 5500, but Soames Junior was given 0. Although an adult, he only saved one of the boarding passes LHR-NAS.
What bothers me so much about this, is that his ticket in WT cost a whopping $2.750.00! While 5500 miles in not a lot, I don't think that his account should lose out. BA did not enter his FF# and I'm pretty religious about supplying all info.
After this long rant ~ sorry ~ I wonder who I should contact. Start with BA?
We have all the numbers of our e-tickets ~ would that be of any help in such a situation. Could somone please point me in the right direction/department? It's confusing since two carriers are involved.
[should anyone wonder why we have AA acct.s plus USAIR, a former BA partner,it's because the kids attended school/and uni in the US]
Thanks to anyone who no doubt is savvy ~ btw I'm not lodging a complaint, just trying to set it straight]
