I'm usually a Star Alliance guy, but I just did a leg from BKK to NRT on a A330 in BusinessElite. I have to say, this is one of the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in. Regardless of whether I was sitting straight up, or reclined completely, there seems to be cushions or gaps in the absolute wrong place. Is this a common thought amongst regular DL fliers? Dare I say it, I was almost wishing for an ordinary Y seat.
Though, on a different note, I think the IFE is probably the best I've seen, anywhere (even better than the leg I did on SQ just before the BKK/NRT flight).
A lot of melodramatics going on in the DL forum today. Must be a full moon out for tonight.. Anyway, I hardly believe you would be happier in a Y seat. In the full recline position, they are horrendous. You have to back off the seat pitch just a tad in the full recline position to get a more comfortable position. That said, the A330 BE seats are getting a new flat bed seat next year which will put it on par, if not better, then any star alliance BE seat.
