If my understanding is correct, the LDW (Loss Damage WAIVER) means that National (or insert rental company here) has WAIVED their legal right to hold the renter accountable for loss and damage caused to the vehicle. This is not charged back to the "owner" or the corporate code at all. If this was the case I think you would see MUCH more stringent regulation of the use of these codes.
Very good. I guess I misunderstand LDW. Luckily I am covered both personally and through business with my corporate code, so I never looked into what all the insurance codes meant that are included in my rates.
