There are litteraly hundreds of these threads if you do a bit of reading.
Try routing through US or Switzerland to avoid fuel surcharge.
It takes a bit more time but can save $$'s.
Change frequent flyer programs too to a us based *A carrier and you can fly AC without the surcharge.
