So, after reading thru all previous posts, should I be wary about 2 consecutive legs: AKL-SYD (Jetconnect) - HNL (Jetstar) total flying time 13½ hrs - especially when I can choose QF for the longer direct legs BNB-LAX instead ?
(I guess I may not be able to avoid JQ across the Tasman on an AA award ?)

And how about baggage fees when I check in with the operating carrier (JQ) ?
