having an overnight in Tokyo is not the worst thing. they might try to get you on another flight but likely will pay to have you put up in a hotel - that will include breakfest and a possibly include a voucher for dinner at the hotel. probably the ANA Crowne Plaza right by the airport....this is cheaper than endorsing the ticket to another carrier I am sure since you can find this hotel for sub CAD$100 depending on how far out.
