I have a quick question regarding Club Europe. My friend and I will be flying from AMS to LHR later this year and we were both wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to CE for approximately £69. We have never flown on BA before and therefore want to experience the CE product; however, as you all know, £69 is quite a bit of money, especially for such a short flight. Is there anyone who can build a compelling case for or against upgrading to CE on our flight? We really want to try it out, and therefore are wondering if it's worth it.

I've genuinely never worked out why anyone would bother would Club Europe on flights under 3 hours. It's absolutely pointless and a complete waste of money or Avios in my opinion. Only a few of the seats are better than standard, the meal is rather pointless on a flight this short and you get on and off from any position on the plane pretty quickly.
Lounge access at airports is the only real benefit i see and if you are like me i arrive at the airport with as little waiting time as possible, so lounge access isn't a consideration for me.
I do have friends who book club Europe when travelling together with their little girl. They say it does make a difference then.
To each their own though.
