In this last case the lounge attendants and backroom staff were not concerned about the computers nor did they have time to find/lecture lecture parents. They were occupied with clearing the broken tea cups and liquid off the floor to avoid injuries (and to keep the infants from grabbing bottles of drink). This was a health & safety priority as a business woman almost slipped and fell because of it. They even had to call in staff from the lobby bar to assist.
Their desk remained abandoned as guests waited to check-in/out etc.
They are not staffed with enough people to deal with things like this when the lounge is at maximum capacity. They are only empowered to do what the hotel's policies allow them to do, so if the 'family hotel' excuse remains in place they have to bite their tongues and tolerate the madness.
I never saw the lounge at the Hiton Berlin to be at full capacity and stayed well over 50 time there. It is one the biggest lounge, I know. And I stayed there during fashion week and Berlinale with fully packed hotel.
For the sure the hotel is familly freindly, they even got games available in the lounge.
When my wife, and daughter visited me, the first thing she recieved was a teddy bear from the lounge team.
The only issue I had has been with some business people who decided they wanted to listen to the news on TV which are normally on silent mode.
The team in the lounge, is also the most friendly team I know.
