Hi, looking for some advice here. I have a trip coming up next month which includes a Reward Saver flight in CE/Business LHR-MAD.
Originally, I was booked on a BA operated flight on the 767. The whole reason for booking the flight, was to fly on the 767, which I have not yet flown, and want to get off the "not flown" list before it disappears. However, I later changed it to a later departure operated by an IB A340-600 - another aircraft type I haven't flown yet. Then I read the thread about IB needeng to get their act together...
Pro's/Con's:
BA: 767-300. Most likely a short haul seat, with the possibility of a neighbour next to me with no space between (unless I select a middle seat. I prefer windows).
BA-crew (which can be really good when they're good)
Afternoon Tea Service
Departs at 15:15, so (for me) a "perfect" departure time after waking up at one of the LHR Hiltons, breakfast and getting to T5 at maybe around 11-12. Plenty of time in the GF as well (will be my second-last visit

)
Arrives early enough to still catch a dinner at my MAD hotel.
IB: A430-600 with longhaul seats. Still no blockes middle seats, but bigger seats in general.
IB crew (No previous experience)
Probably a better meal than the Afternoon Tea?
Later departure (18:40). could giove me enough time for a quicjk trip into London
Will arrive at hotel after restaurant is closed, but I can live without that with more time in GF maybe a lunch/dinner elsewhere at T5, and an ok meal on board.
Any ideas?
