No. The Shinkansen stops at Shin-Osaka. It's to the North of the city. From there you can take the subway (Midosuji line) or JR trains to reach Tennoji.

BTW Tennoji is a bit flea-bitten. But that's where you'll find the cheapest places, I guess.
