Yes I realise what you are saying but the star alliance offers EXTRA baggage for its gold tier member EXTRA above and betond that available to ALL passangers so that is what is confusing as United seems NOT to follow the alliance rules unless there is something im missing.

Normally this would not even be a issue but on my ladt trip in june UA/SAS lost one of my bags so now I had to rebuy the gifts and stuff lost in that bag since it has not been found to date...
