I suspect that more UA or US flights are accessible via Aeroplan (whether between YYZ and Hawaii via YVR or between YYZ and LAX) than AC flights. But not all these Star Alliance flight options come onto the Aeroplan web site - you have to speak to a Aeroplan agent (unless you have a travel tool, and know in advance about availability).
